The Opportunity

Matilda Cloud is one of the most consequential platforms being built in cloud right now. We help enterprises do what most of them know they need to do but cannot figure out how to do well: assess complex multi-cloud estates, migrate workloads without breaking the business, modernize what is worth modernizing, and run all of it with intelligence baked in. Our platform pairs machine learning with real-time operational data to automate work that has historically required armies of consultants and months of risk.

Our customers include Fortune 500 companies in telecom, finance, public utilities, big data, and transportation. The market is moving fast in our direction, and we are hiring a Director of Product Marketing to help us turn that momentum into category leadership.

Why This Role Is DIfferent

This is a rare scope role. You will own the full marketing function — product marketing, brand, demand generation, hyperscaler co-marketing, and analyst relations — and you will be the storyteller-in-chief for the company. You will set the strategy and execute it. You will manage agencies and partner programs, and you will write the messaging that everyone else delivers. You will work directly with product, engineering, sales, and our hyperscaler partners. And you will help define what Matilda Cloud sounds like, looks like, and stands for as we grow.

What Your Will Own

  1. Story, Positioning, and Product Marketing

  • Own end-to-end product marketing — positioning, messaging frameworks, launch plans, and sales enablement.

  • Translate complex platform capabilities (assessment, migration, modernization, optimization, AI-driven automation) into crisp, compelling narratives for both technical and executive audiences.

  • Build and maintain competitive intelligence across cloud management and FinOps; equip the sales team with battlecards that help them win.

  • Partner closely with product and engineering to influence roadmap priorities based on real market and customer signal.

  • Build a rich content library — white papers, solution briefs, webinars, blogs, one-pagers — that establishes Matilda Cloud as a thought leader in autonomous cloud lifecycle management.

  1. Demand, Pipeline, and Growth

  • Design and execute an integrated GTM strategy across digital, paid, social, email, events, and partner channels.

  • Lead demand generation programs that fill the pipeline — set targets, run campaigns, measure results, and continuously optimize for ROI.

  • Own SEO, SEM, and website strategy; collaborate with web teams to optimize conversion paths and landing pages.

  • Build and manage lead-nurturing workflows in HubSpot (or equivalent) to move prospects through the funnel efficiently.

  1. Hyperscaler Co-Marketing and Partner GTM

  • Activate and manage co-marketing programs with AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, and Oracle Cloud — joint campaigns, co-sell, and marketplace presence.

  • Work hand-in-hand with our Alliance and Partner teams to turn hyperscaler relationships into measurable pipeline and revenue.

  • Build a clear, repeatable model for partner-driven demand that scales as our ecosystem grows.

  1. AI-Native Marketing

  • Position our AI capabilities with the clarity and credibility a sophisticated enterprise buyer expects — not hype, not vague claims, but real outcomes.

  • Use AI inside the marketing function — content acceleration, audience targeting, competitive research, campaign analytics — and build the team norms that make it a force multiplier.

  • Stay current on how AI is reshaping how technical buyers research, decide, and buy — and adapt our motion accordingly.

  1. Brand, Community, and Influence

  • Define and steward the Matilda Cloud brand voice, visual identity, and messaging across every external touchpoint.

  • Build influencer, analyst, and community programs to grow our profile and credibility in the cloud management space (Gartner, Forrester, IDC).

  • Produce regular analytics reports across channels; deliver clear, data-driven recommendations to leadership on strategy and spend.

  1. Team, Agencies, and Culture

  • Source, onboard, and manage third-party marketing agencies and creative partners — getting great work on time and on budget.

  • Build and grow an in-house marketing team that reflects the diversity of thought, background, and experience our market needs.

  • Model the behaviors of the Matilda Cloud culture — curiosity, ownership, kindness, and excellence.

Who You Are

  • Energized by hard, ambiguous, important problems — and visibly excited by the opportunity at Matilda Cloud.

  • A creative, opinionated storyteller — you can write the brief, the blog, the email, and the keynote, and you have strong taste.

  • A cloud-savvy marketer who thrives at the intersection of storytelling and pipeline building.

  • A natural partner to product, sales, and engineering — you bring them along rather than working around them.

  • A growth-mindset leader who treats every quarter as a chance to push the company toward its maximum potential.

  • Honest, humble, and high-agency — you take ownership, you tell the truth, and you do not wait to be asked.

What You Bring

Required

  • 10+ years of experience in product marketing, B2B SaaS marketing, or cloud/technology marketing, with at least 3 years in a senior or director-level role.

  • Deep, working knowledge of public cloud platforms — AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, and/or Oracle Cloud — including how they are purchased, deployed, and managed at enterprise scale.

  • Proven track record of building and executing GTM strategies that generate measurable pipeline and revenue growth.

  • Hands-on experience activating hyperscaler partner marketing programs (e.g., AWS ISV Accelerate, Microsoft Azure Marketplace, GCP Partner Advantage, or Oracle Cloud partner programs).

  • Experience managing and directing third-party marketing agencies and creative partners to deliver campaigns on time and within budget.

  • Proficiency in marketing automation and analytics tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics, and SEMrush (or equivalents).

  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills — equally comfortable crafting an executive brief and a technical blog post.

  • Strong analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to measuring campaign performance and informing strategy.

  • Strong project management — comfortable juggling many priorities in a fast-paced startup environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.

Preferred

  • Experience marketing cloud migration, cloud management, FinOps, or cloud cost optimization platforms to enterprise buyers.

  • Familiarity with DevOps, SRE, infrastructure automation, or cloud-native buyer personas.

  • Experience with analyst relations programs (Gartner, Forrester, IDC) or B2B public relations.

  • Background in design or copywriting as a complement to strategic marketing leadership.

  • MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
