About Matilda Cloud:

Matilda Cloud, headquartered in Dallas, TX, is at the forefront of creating groundbreaking software solutions designed to revolutionize IT Ops and Cloud Ops tasks. Our platform, distinguished by its automated discovery approach, delivers a detailed IT blueprint and a fast, cloud-agnostic migration assessment. By leveraging our platform’s advanced discovery capabilities, we provide recommendations and automated solutions that enhance performance, reduce downtime, and significantly cut down cloud migration time and costs. Serving diverse sectors like telecom, finance, public utilities, big data, and transportation, we proudly count numerous Fortune 500 companies among our satisfied clientele.

Matilda, Inc is an Equal Opportunity employer offering competitive benefits and compensation. Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. and be able to commute daily to our office. No agencies or third-party recruiters, please.

Role Overview:

We are building a product management function from the ground up, and we are looking for a Product Manager who thrives in that kind of environment. You will own one or more products within our suite of data center to cloud and cloud-to-cloud services, working closely with the Director of Product Management, engineering, and go-to-market teams to define what gets built and why.

This is not a role for someone who needs a mature system to plug into. You will help shape the processes, templates, and norms of a nascent PM practice while simultaneously driving product outcomes. The ability to operate with structure you create yourself and comfort partnering with engineering through its own process maturation is essential.

Responsibilities:

Product Ownership & Strategy

  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for one or more products in the portfolio from discovery and definition through delivery, launch, and iteration.

  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap grounded in customer evidence, business strategy, and technical feasibility; communicate it clearly to engineering, sales, and leadership.

  • Define and track product success metrics; use data to evaluate feature performance and inform prioritization decisions.

Discovery & Customer Insight

  • Conduct structured customer interviews, usability research, and win/loss reviews to continuously deepen understanding of customer problems and unmet needs.

  • Synthesize inputs from customers, sales, support, and market research into clear, prioritized product opportunities.

  • Maintain ongoing relationships with key customer contacts to validate assumptions, test hypotheses, and gather feedback on shipped features.

Requirements & Engineering Partnership

  • Write clear, well-scoped product requirements: user stories, acceptance criteria, edge cases, and non-functional requirements that give engineering what they need to build with confidence.

  • Partner daily with engineering leads and scrum teams by participating in sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives as an active contributor, not a passenger.

  • Manage scope trade-offs transparently, escalating conflicts to the Director of Product Management with a clear articulation of the options and their implications.

AI Feature Definition & Delivery

  • Identify, scope, and prioritize AI-powered feature opportunities within your product area, working with engineering to evaluate feasibility and with customers to validate that the capability solves a real problem at an acceptable level of trust and transparency.

  • Apply a rigorous definition of done to AI features: success metrics are defined before build begins, edge cases and failure modes are documented, and post-launch evaluation is built into the plan.

  • Develop go-to-market positioning for AI capabilities that is accurate, credible, and appropriate for an enterprise audience.

AI-Assisted PM Practice

  • Actively use AI tools to accelerate core PM workflows including requirements drafting, competitive research, customer feedback synthesis, and release documentation and share effective techniques with the broader PM team.

  • Bring a practical, critical perspective on AI tool usage: knowing where it saves time and where human judgment is not replaceable.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with marketing on product positioning, messaging, and launch readiness; ensure go-to-market teams have what they need to sell and support the product.

  • Serve as the internal expert on your product area by fielding questions from sales, support, and executive stakeholders with clarity and credibility.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of product management experience in enterprise B2B software; experience owning a product end-to-end through multiple release cycles.

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct and synthesize customer research; you interview customers regularly and use what you learn to make better product decisions.

  • Strong requirements writing skills; your PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria are clear enough that engineering can build from them without ambiguity.

  • Track record of effective collaboration with engineering teams; you understand agile delivery well enough to be a productive partner, not a source of friction.

  • Domain fluency in data center infrastructure, cloud services, or cloud migration sufficient to engage credibly with technically sophisticated customers and engineers.

  • Working experience with AI-powered features in a product context and active use of AI tools in your own workflow; you can speak concretely to both.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to write crisp briefs, present to executives, and hold your own in technical conversations.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a growth-stage company where PM processes were still being established.

  • Familiarity with hybrid cloud architectures, cloud-to-cloud data management, or infrastructure automation.

  • Experience working alongside a sales-led enterprise go-to-market motion.

  • Exposure to product analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel, Pendo, or similar).

 WHAT WE OFFER:

  • Competitive compensation including base salary, bonus, and equity.

  • Direct access to the Director of Product Management and close partnership with engineering leadership.

  • Hybrid work model from our Texas office with comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, and generous PTO.

We are an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.

To apply, submit your resume and a brief description of a product you owned end-to-end and what you would do differently if you built it again.
